SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL "Fort Bragg shed its Confederate namesake Friday to become Fort Liberty in a ceremony some veterans said was a small but important step in making the U.S. Army more welcoming to current and prospective Black service members."

Truth be known I seriously doubt anyone really associated the name with the Confederate namesake. Very few people actually know who General Bragg was. I can't think of a single person regardless of race who said they wouldn't join the Army because a base was named after a Confederate leader.

Can't change the past Brother Joe, just learn from it. So, if we erase the past what will we learn? Just my two cents worth Brother Joe.
