SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL VA workers need to be held accountable for their lack of work and dealt with accordingly even if it means firing them for incompetence just like they would in the world of business.

SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL and they need to find competent replacements faster! For the population served in Wichita KS there aren’t nearly enough provided in every department. I will say with the exception of one, I have received excellent care there.

The article did point out that if this problem is not addressed, you will run into recruiting and retention problems. I know there are other causes of the staffing issue than lack of accountability, but I don't understand how big VA does not realize they already have major recruiting and retention problems. Even now when it seems like they have made strides to offer pay competitive to the private sector, people don't want to work for them.

From the outside looking in it doesn't seem to be about the money anymore.
