Today's Scripture & Insight:
In the 1960s-era TV series The Andy Griffith Show, a man tells Andy he should let his son Opie decide how he wants to live. Andy disagrees: “You can’t let a young’un decide for himself. He’ll grab at the first flashy thing with shiny ribbons on it. Then, when he finds out there’s a hook in it, it’s too late. Wrong ideas come packaged with so much glitter that it’s hard to convince them that other things might be better in the long run.” He concludes that it’s important for parents to model right behavior and help “keep temptation away.”
Andy’s words are related to the wisdom found in Proverbs: “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it” (22:6).

Nowadays people care for only themselves. And clutch on to things that make them " Unique" and give them attention. Like 1000's shades of gender.

SGT Charlie Lee there is a Remnant of persons that still look out for everyone, in every Generation . Though they are learning to look out for themselves by experience. They stick mainly with a small group of persons, and will - with some joy , do some public persons a favor by paying for a lunch, help out the homeless , even build up a " thrift store and use the profits to help those in need.
Such things gare done to be a help to others. Yet the ones that do so have learned not to go all out for someone that could use the help but aren't even gonna say " thanks" .
By that , i mean they do have the funds/ possessions to be middle class, but are genuine ass hats to those truly with out.
