SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL We need Veterans in Congress. They understand the needs of the military and how essential to America's freedom is dependent upon those in uniform.

Great news.

Now for the next miracle - a Veterans Caucus will be formed that is open to both sides of the aisle and puts veterans issues ahead of other partisan views (in other words, veterans become their partisan politics)

There are 16.5 million veterans in the Unites States + 2.2 million active duty personnel. There are approximately 6.6 million LEO, CO, FD, and EMS workers in the US.
That's a pool of 25.3 million.
We need to elect veterans of both the military and 911 services to the state assemblies, county offices, city and town governments. If there is an elected dog-catcher position out there, we need to have a veteran running for it too.
Let us not forget their partners/spouses, parents and siblings - another (at minimum) 60 to 90 million.
It makes 30% of the population having dedicated their lives or supporting someone that serves their community. I may not always agree with their politics but we already trust them. Why not support them in elections.

Join nearly 2 million former and current members of the US military, just like you.
