SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL As I recall, the winter of 1978-1979 contained massive amounts of snow in the Windy City (Chicago). Thanks for the post Brother Joe.

Cpl Vic Burk roger that Brother Vic if I remember correct it was like 3 winters in a row from 1976-1979, it was brutal.

Had great fun going sledding down a fairly sized hilly street where we lived. The only thing was, our storm door was frozen on the bottom from the ice. Hair dryers melted that though.
