SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL Drug use, we definitely don't need them in our military. Low aptitude score, well maybe that shouldn't be a total denial either within reason if otherwise qualified. Weight, depending on how much heavier that the "normal" is this could be ok. In boot camp measures could be taken to get them within normal height/weight. In the Marine back when I was in boot camp, they had PCP (Physical conditioning platoon) where they sent the heavies to lose weight. Of course, back them with the war on they took most anyone since the Marines was an all-volunteer force except for about a year in the 60's when the drafted for a very short period of time.
