SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL I don't get reimbursements even for service connected things because I live less than twenty miles from the V.A. I go to. I measure it, it's 19.8 miles!

Thanks for sharing, unfortunately reimbursements for travel will always lag behind actual costs incurred.

So very true and reimbursements always lag regardless if it's from government or civilian entities.

MAJ Roland McDonald You just reminded me of my first civilian business trip. I had years of military travel under my belt and was amazed at the things the military would reimburse that my civilian employer denied and then how long it took to get what they would pay for.
