The first part of an independent commission’s report on the project to strip Confederate namesakes from installations, ships, awards and more went to Congress on Monday, according to a release.
Along with the reasons for the renaming and the process by which new names were selected, the report

DoD dollars better spent on beans, bullets, black mold, general to specific maintenance, recruiting, training aids, scholarships, government housing, professional development, grounds keeping, rock painting, research and development, etc and so on (and on and on). Wonder if Mayor Pete has come up with the Department of Transportation costs relative to this lunacy? Pogo had it right when he said, "We have met the enemy and he is us."
