VIETNAM WAR FORCE RECON READ OF THE DAY

The Marine "Force Recon" people are roughly the equivalent of the better-known Army Special Forces or Navy SEALs - except, of course, that as Marines they are better. The 3rd Force Recon Company was attached to the 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion of the 3rd Marine Division, operating in the area immediately south of the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ).
