MARINE CORPS DRILL INSTRUCTOR CADENCE SHARE OF THE DAY
AS A FORMER U.S. ARMY DRILL SERGEANT I CAN RELATE. CADENCE STILL GETS ME THROUGH LIFE.
The members of the West Coast Drill Instructor Association gathered at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego on Sept. 16, 2016, for their annual reunion. Several events were held culminating in the final competition “The Best Damn Cadence Calling Contest in the West.”

Fyi, Didn't see this at first. Because my D.I. had me face down in the sand-pit doing mountain-climbers until he got tired. Back- in 1976. Still have flashbacks when I hear a Marine D.I voice.

When Those Jets Fly Over, Rattling The Entire Neighborhood Housing Development,
All I Hear Is That Great Sound Of Freedom.
Makes Me Thrilled To Have Been Involved With Parts Of It.
GOD, How I Love Those Men At Nellis.!!

GySgt Jack Wallace - I look back the days of boot camp fondly now also, but at the time, it was like, "Holy $hit, what did I get myself into?" I still say it is the best decision I ever made to join the Marines. Semper Fi Gunny.
