Ethnic division and strife can hinder any group from coming together. A great example of this can be seen in the true story on film titled Remember the Titans, where Coach Herman Boone (played by Denzel Washington) is tasked with leading the newly integrated T. C. Williams High School football team in Virginia.
This team learned to unite by overcoming their racial biases and, eventually, won the state championship.
The apostle Paul understood that ethnic discrimination and division can ruin any team, including the church (see Galatians 2:11–21), and as believers in Jesus Christ, we are to be vigilant against things that disrupt our unity and equity.
