"Groupthink", what a line of BS. Don't most states have laws that say if you participate in a crime you're equally guilty no matter how you think?

All for practicing one's rights and all, but you don't need a Ph.D. to know that this was a highly-political, highly-charged march. Red flags everywhere. And definitely - entering the Capitol building at all? Punitive. How bad or how much, I don't know the options that well.

Maybe he should have said he was with either BLM or Antifa and thrown some molotov cocktails and some federal courthouses, huh? Started his own little autonomous zone on the Capitol steps? Then he would've been okay.

SPC Kevin Ford - So the guy who ran up and smacked him with a skateboard was trying to disarm him? Or jump kick guy?
The video doesn't show that, Kevin.
And the jury agreed.

Sgt (Join to see) - Certainly trying to incapacitate him yes. The jury agreed that from Rittenhouse's perspective it looked like self defense. They did not look at the perspective of other people engaging with Rittenhouse as that was not their job. Both things can be true, Rittenhouse thought he was defending himself from the crowd and people in the crowd thinking that they were trying to stop an active shooter. That's the tragedy.

SPC Kevin Ford - If they thought that Rittenhouse was acting in self-defense, it's obvious that they thought the 3 who were shot were the aggressors, not Rittenhouse.
It is tragic. But, they chased down a guy with an AR-15. WTF did they think was gonna happen? I don't buy for a second that they were there to "help out." They were there to loot and burn and chased down the kid who they decided they were going to take their aggression out on.

Sgt (Join to see) - That's where you are mixing in your feelings about their politics with a legal analysis of what happened. I can even see their defense, they are going to trot out the multitudes of mass shootings that happened and what happened when an active shooter was left to do their thing. Your "buying" their state of mind is of little use unless you can prove it. Understand, people on the left had their beliefs about Rittenhouse's state of mind too, but that does not a successful prosecution make.
