APOD: 2022 April 18 - Stars and Planets over Portugal

Good morning, Rallypoint, and welcome to the April 18th Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD): "Stars and Planets over Portugal." We travel to the fields outside of Mértola, Portugal where this composite image was captured in 2020. The Milky Way crosses the sky bounded by Mars (on the left) and Jupiter and Saturn (on the right). The Andromeda Galaxy is also visible (left of center, about 10 o'clock).
