I am grateful that the US Supreme Court supported the Texas Heartbeat Bill which requires that if a fetal heartbeat is detected, no abortion can be performed. 'For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.' [Psalm 13913-14a ESV]
I lift the US Citizens, green card holders, Afghanis who assisted the US and allies, citizens of other nations still stuck in Afghanistan, US POWS held by the Taliban, and others left behind by the US government in the evacuation of Afghanistan supervised by the US Department of State to YOU dear LORD. YOU are aware of all from the beginning of time to the end. In this season where evil seems to be encroaching on the light and love of God, it is wise to remember that God is in complete control. The LORD admonishes each of us to be careful in judgement

Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure, you use it will be measured back to you.” [Luke 6:37-38 ESV]

Good morning Rally Point and Happy Hump day. And to anyone observing Yom Kippur which starts at sundown tonight, I wish you an easy fast and may you and all your loved ones be sealed in the book of life for a good year! And that goes for everyone else here on RP as well.
Keeping an open mind. I remember being asked if I could keep an open mind when I was questioned as a possible jury member on a courts-martial. And I stopped and thought about it. Twice I said yes and I took a seat on those; the third one I said I thought I could not given some previous information and experiences I had. I ended up being recalled to sit that one as well; I worked very hard through the entire trial to make sure I wasn't letting my preconceptions and experiences color my judgement. I have to say it was difficult. I might actually have gone a bit overboard, but I thought it the right t9ing to do. It did remind me constantly about how quick we are to judge sometimes and how tough it can be to remain open to new information.

I lift the US Citizens, green card holders, Afghanis who assisted the US and allies, citizens of other nations still stuck in Afghanistan, US POWS held by the Taliban, and others left behind by the US government in the evacuation of Afghanistan supervised by the US Department of State to YOU dear LORD. YOU are aware of all from the beginning of time to the end. I pray that YOU free most of the captives and any captive who dies is YOUR adopted child. ‘Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the LORD that will stand.’ [Proverbs 19:21 ESV]
In this season where evil seems to be encroaching on the light and love of God, it is wise to remember that God is in complete control. HE permits evil to appear to flourish before judgement. ‘Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, “VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY,” says the Lord. “BUT IF YOUR ENEMY IS HUNGRY, FEED HIM, AND IF HE IS THIRSTY, GIVE HIM A DRINK; FOR IN SO DOING YOU WILL HEAP BURNING COALS ON HIS HEAD.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.’ [Romans 12:19-21 ESV]
The LORD admonishes each of us to be careful in judgement
a. “Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven; give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure, you use it will be measured back to you.” [Luke 6:37-38 ESV]
b. 'A false balance is an abomination to the LORD, but a just weight is his delight. When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with the humble is wisdom. The integrity of the upright guides them, but the crookedness of the treacherous destroys them.’ [Proverbs 11:1-3 ESV]
I pray that you and those you love are healthy and that you each sleep well Wednesday night and awake refreshed Thursday morning.

I pray for sound judgment, discernment, respect for each person, compassion and humility for each and every one of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who reads or listens to this prayer. Enable us to judge wisely whenever we are called upon to judge anything from food preparation through the written and spoken word to policy decisions by the Federal government. I pray that YOU bless each one of us with eyes to see and ears to hear, dear LORD what we need to see and hear. LORD, I thank YOU for pro-life executives, legislators and judges as well as intercessors and pro-life counselors. I pray that YOU bless those who support life from before birth throughout life and through death with endurances, grace and discernment. I am grateful that the US Supreme Court supported the Texas Heartbeat Bill which requires that if a fetal heartbeat is detected, no abortion can be performed.
