Fascinating isn't it! It is such a miraculous seeming feat of engineering in every way - still only speculatively understood. Was actively interested in Egypt by the time of high school . . . and have paid attention to new research, since. There is so much that is "taught" about Ancient Egypt that is less than accurate - of course focusing on misinterpretation that becomes negative stuff. Applying geology has made a difference in better understanding the development of that civilization - like where the Egyptians originated! And of course the Egyptian Book of the Dead (often used for teaching/learning Hieroglyphics) seems to have many references to an earlier culture - people and technology - some think refugees from Atlantis . . .
Currently, it is thought that particular pyramid may not have been a burial chamber - though likely used . . . hmm . . . as a spiritual transition chamber suggesting a belief like some of our Indigenous folks. It is little different than Christian belief, only expressed with different terminology. Words make a difference when it comes to understanding about the meaning of the soul goes on/is "eternal".
