I am a native of Ashland Kentucky and a 1974 graduate of Paul G. Blazer High School, where I was a menber of the Army JROTC program. Upon graduating, 8 hours later I entered the Army at an accelerated rank of PFC (E-3) and attended boot camp at Fort Knox KY (Delta 11/5). I retired from the Army in July 1998 and on 16 June 1999, I received my JROTC certification and Ohio Department of Education Teaching Certification. In June 2000, the JROTC Instructor's position came available at the high school I graduated from and was accepted and remained there until I retired from teaching in June 2012 and moved to Lynchburg Virginia, where I started working as an Armed Security Officer for the DMV working my way to the Chief of DMV Security Operations Officer.
