Good Saturday morning Col Burroughs and posse.
Observe or observation...something critical in the medical field and in life. One learns much about a person from observing them: how they stand, move, speak, eye gaze, facial expressions, etc. This is one reason I don't do therapy over the phone; I want to observe my client. Many are very good at dissembling but their non-verbals tell another story. So much information is conveyed without words.
And not everything we observe requires a comment or a willingness to engage. Sometimes it is enough to simply stand and observe. One learns much that way too.

Lt Col Charlie Brown - Great wisdom in all the attribute of observing when you are working with individuals, especially today with all the video tools available when working with others Charlie. You have stated it correctly, sometime you don't to say anything, but just observe and learn... How others looking back observing you can be just as important...

“Like yesterday taking time to observe ourselves is life trying to teach us something. Be there to observe others that may be sending signals of suffering, pain, or hurt, so you can come to their aid. It could be a friend, a veteran, or a family member that is really calling out for help. Through the ability to observe you could make a difference in someone’s life. ‘You can observe a lot by just watching.’ — Yogi Berra. When it comes to leading people, taking time to observe can be very beneficial to learning and understanding the culture and climate of an organization. Changes may be needed. May you always take the time to look and observe your surroundings; may your mind, body, and soul be opened to grace, goodness, peace, forgiveness, and a continued bountiful life of purpose; and keep your family safe, secure, happy, and healthy. Join the “Colonel” this evening as we explore and discuss the acronym LOVE (L-Listen, O-Observe, V-Value, and E-Embrace) with Warriors for Life (WFL) TONIGHT. Healing involves many things and observation is one of them.” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

COL Mikel J. Burroughs - Observations and watching is "Paying Attention". "Paying Attention" is free and more people should be doing just that, paying attention.

I expect you are thoughtful, considerate of others and have been a keen observer most of the time. Hopefully you and I are attuned to the hopes, dreams, fears and apprehensions of those who depend upon us. ‘For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer.’ [1 Peter 3:12a] my sister-in-Christ Lt Col Charlie Brown.

I lift the individuals and organizations focused on protecting people including EMT, police, firefighters, emergency room personnel, medical triage team members, investigators, deployed military personnel and their family members to YOU. I pray that each get sufficient rest and appropriate and sufficient nutrients to be alert and observant while on duty and/or keeping up the home front. ‘that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,’ [Ephesians 16-17 ESV]
I pray for the individuals, families, businesses, and towns linked to the traditional energy industry drilling, distribution, storage and refining at risk of being terminated from employment, evicted and/or forced to file for bankruptcy protection. I pray LORD that YOU give them eyes to see and ears to hear from YOU, what they should do in this challenging times. ‘Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.' [James 1:2-4 ESV]
I pray for parents and guardians of the very young children. I pray they are alert and observant of the children they are responsible for. I pray LORD that YOU guide them hour-by-hour to reduce risk of injury and illness for themselves and the little children. ‘Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.’ [Matthew 18:1-4 ESV]
I pray that YOU protect the at-risk young people from child predators and kidnap rings. I lift those young people already kidnapped and in sex slavery to YOU. Release the captives dear LORD. ‘“Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me, but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.’ [Matthew 18:5-6]
I pray that you and your family members sleep well Saturday night and will awake refreshed and healthy on Sunday morning.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

Good “Saturday” Morning “Burroughs’ Posse Leader from the overcast but warming skies of SW Florida where it is currently 67°, but heading up to about 78° under partly cloudy skies...

Today is the day my wife arrives in FL and so will be on RP intermittently as time permits... I want to make her first day of 2021 in FL a great day! More to follow...maybe... LOL!

“Observe Day!” Why Not?

1) "There are three kinds of men. The one that learns by reading. The few who learn by observation. The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence for themselves." - Will Rogers

2) "You are not your thoughts, you are the observer of and intelligence behind your thoughts. When you understand this, you are operating from higher consciousness." - Unknown author

3) "Nothing has such power to broaden the mind as the ability to investigate systematically and truly all that comes under thy observation in life." - Marcus Aurelius

4) "In the fields of observation chance favors only those minds which are prepared." - Louis Pasteur

But why observe? Read on...

“Observation can be a leader’s best friend. You can learn more about the culture and climate of an organization by observing the day-to-day activities from the sidelines. Leaders can see more details they will enable them to lead more effectively!” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

COL Mikel J. Burroughs lessons from the Navy showed me that wise leaders observed the people and resources around them. Aside from performing that status quo based on policy, good leaders incorporated their observations about personnel and resources into our daily duties as seamen and our daily wellbeing as members of the Navy community, heads of households, and single individuals. Those leaders uplifted morale and had a team of loyal personnel. This is a very life changing lesson I learned in my twenties.
