I pray that each one of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who reads this prayer, submits our daily and long-term plans, desires and hopes to YOU. I pray that each one of us recognizes YOUR voice to our soul/spirit. I pray that we each are so familiar with YOUR Word that we instantly recognize any counterfeit. As YOUR elected sheep by YOUR grace, we are familiar with YOUR voice. ‘My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. 30I and the Father are one.” [John 10:27-29 ESV]
I pray that each one of us are questioning like the Berean church when any tries to tell us anything that distorts basic Christian doctrine – especially Jehovah’s Witness, LDS, Word of Faith teachers and all others who have a distorted view of God. ‘Now the Bereans were more noble-minded than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if these teachings were true. As a result, many of them believed, along with quite a few prominent Greek women and men.’ [Acts 17:11-12 ESV]
LORD, Holy Spirit we are each grateful that YOU dwell with the soul of each of us. YOU are over ever-present admonisher, comforter, encourager, and source of all knowledge, wisdom, and fruit. YOU provide YOUR fruit in perfect timing and measure since YOU know who will need to be blessed. ‘But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.' [Galatians 5:22-24 ESV]
LORD, I pray for a significant increase in cooperation, peace and compassion for YOUR adopted sons and daughters throughout the USA, Canada, Mexico, UK, France, Germany, Egypt, Israel, Turkey, Russia, China, Korea, Japan, Philippines, Australia and New Zealand. I pray that YOUR light cleanses each one of us of impurities which inhibit YOUR love flowing through us to those we interact with.
I lift the United States Congress representatives, senators and their staff members to YOU. I pray that YOU motivate YOUR adopted sons and daughters in these groups to urge their fellow members to act wisely and seek wise counsel as they move forward on critical national and international issues. 'Plans are established by counsel; by wise guidance wage war. Whoever goes about slandering reveals secrets; therefore do not associate with a simple babbler.’ [Proverbs 20:18-19 ESV]
