APOD: 2020 November 19 - Crew 1 Mission Launch Streak

Good morning, Rallypoint. Today's Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD) is titled "Crew 1 Mission Launch Streak." If you were anywhere near a TV on Sunday night, you probably watched the launch of Resilience and Crew 1 (I heard it on the radio). Crew-1 is the first operational mission to the International Space Station (ISS) in the Commercial Crew Program. Originally designated "USCV-1" by NASA in 2012, the mission is expected to last 180 days. We can look for the return of Crew 1 sometime around May 2021. Resilience is expected to return to Earth via splashdown for reuse for another future mission.
