Good Red Friday morning, Rallypoint. Today's Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD) is titled "Mars 2020 from 5,000 Feet." Yesterday's launch of Mars Rover Perseverance from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station is captured in this snapshot from an observation aircraft. This was the third launch this month of spacecraft headed for Mars (UAE was first, China second). Perseverance is scheduled to arrive on Mars February 18, 2021.
