McKesson is looking for a dynamic and motivated Business Continuity Project Manager to join our growing team in Richmond, VA. This is a fantastic chance to work for a company that has a rare mix of being a fun, yet high-paced and professional work environment.
Daily activities will support improvements to the McKesson Medical Surgical Business Continuity action plans. The plans will include the documentation of dependencies, the identification of risks or threats and development of plans to respond to and recover from incidents and return to normal business operations. The Business Continuity Project Manager will work with functional leads throughout McKesson Medical Surgical and the enterprise teams to ensure a robust program is in place that full documents the impacts analyses for each unit, effect response plans, learnings from incidents and testing the effectiveness of these plans. The plans will span from the location and functional specific incidents through the management of the Crisis Management Plan.
In the event of an incident, the Business Continuity Project Manager will facilitate and support the coordination of local Emergency Response Teams, Crisis Management Team and enterprise teams to ensure a successful recovery.
Critical Skills
A minimum 2 years’ experience in administration, program management and successful implementation of Business Continuity/Audit programs in an organization with complex business structures and diverse groups preferred
Proven skill in working with Business Continuity software and plan updates including but not limited to Crisis Management, Emergency Response, Emergency Action, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery
Work group recovery experience with setup, exercise and execution; BC Recovery topology & testing
Experience in working with diverse groups and different cultures, while focusing on objectives and goals rather than obstacles and barriers
Leadership skills with very strong customer focus, positive attitude and results oriented
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
Solid analytical skills, experience solving practical issues and engaging cross functional teams of multiple process partners to gain consensus
Ability to work and collaborate with multiple teams and departments in a complex organization to achieve results
Strong background in delivery methodologies and experience in leading large Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery projects and teams
Strong communications skills to deliver Steering Committee strategy, annual objectives and McKesson’s BC vision
