Good afternoon, my friend SP5 Mark Kuzinski and thank you for sharing the sad reminder.
The failed policy of Vietnamization, the duplicitous Paris peace talks, and deceitful and unscrupulous North Vietnamese and their Russian and Chinese advisers combined with the NVA leveraging our news outlets to convince significant numbers of people that our troops were criminals and the NVA were honorable.
Thankfully we did evacuate over 5,000 s=South Vietnamese
The USA abandoned untold thousands of South Vietnamese who assisted us to prison, reeducation, and death in most cases.
