Good New Years evening my friend and brother-in-Christ CWO3 Dennis M..
Heavenly Father, YOU are passionate about truth, love, justice, and compassion. Moderation is not a characteristic of YOU since YOU are absolutely perfect in every respect LORD.
We are each created in YOUR image and we are not perfect. Yet when YOU look at each one of YOUR adopted sons and daughters YOU see perfected justification through the blood of the Savior which wipes clean our accounts.
LORD I pray that we each have a joyful and safe New Year’s Eve. I pray that YOU will bless each of YOUR adopted children’s families with improved health, wisdom, discernment and prosperity of our souls and in fact our lifetimes. Enable each of us to use our time, talent and treasure to bless others.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

Good morning Mikel and a Happy New Year to all! Great topic especially for this evening.
“Moderation in all things”
― Aristotle
Remember the mean. The only problem is the mean is different for each of us. You have to find your own! Lol. Have a great New Year's Eve!

SGT (Join to see), as a high school senior, I took an honors English course called Humanities (art, music, philosophy, religion and literature). One of the books we had to read was The Greek Way (1930) by Edith Hamilton. It was there I learned about "all things in moderation"!
The Romans subjected themselves to excess and an argument can be made that such excess contributed to their downfall also. Edith Hamilton also authored The Roman Way (1932). We spent some time reviewing that work as well.

LTC Stephen C. - We had a similar class in high school called Mini- Courses. We had 9 weeks of Vocabulary from Greek and Latin root words where we also studied the literature as well. I have read those Edith Hamilton books. That class was great. We studied Shakespeare for 18 weeks, and the last 9 weeks we read many different plays from the Greeks to Arthur Miller. I think of all the courses from high school, that one is the most memorable

Interesting subject on New Year's Eve- a day that many do not practice moderation and spend the first day of the New Year in a fog. The older we get the more we learn moderation is not just a way of life, but a way to enjoy life in a more meaningful way. As with most thing- many learn it and live it, others not so much and tend to be those that blame others for their own shortcomings. Happy New Year Col- and here's to a great 2019.

Happy New Year's Eve Maj Marty Hogan I will definitely be observing the moderation tonight, at home, watching movies with my Wife and Mother, and then probably going to bed before it even turns midnight Marty. I know what a bummer. Take care bother and enjoy the rest of this last day in 2018!
