PO1 William "Chip" Nagel he will be missed he was the European Commander when I got to West Germany in 1990. RIP.

Thank you, my friend PO1 William "Chip" Nagel for letting us know that General Crosbie Edgerton Saint has died at the age of 81.
He graduated with the USMA, West Point class of 1958 and was commissioned as an Armor officer with his first assignment in the 3rd Squadron 14th Armored Cavalry Regiment.
He commanded 1st Armored Division from 1983 to 1985, then he commanded 3rd Corps and Fort Hood from 1985 to 1988 and commanded 7th Army [USAEUR] 1988 until he retired in 1992.

Thank you for the information. General Crosbie Edgerton Saint had a long interesting career. The generals name states he came from a long line of interesting families. "Old soldiers never die they just fade away"
