Good morning, and thank you for the quotes on memory, COL Mikel J. Burroughs. My favorite poem is Sonnett XXX by Shakespeare which depicts great loss, but memory itself restores us.
When to the sessions of sweet silent thought
I summon up remembrance of things past,
I sigh the lack of many a thing I sought,
And with old woes new wail my dear time’s waste:
Then can I drown an eye, unus’d to flow,
For precious friends hid in death’s dateless night,
And weep afresh love’s long since cancell’d woe,
And moan the expense of many a vanish’d sight:
Then can I grieve at grievances foregone,
And heavily from woe to woe tell o’er
The sad account of fore-bemoaned moan,
Which I new pay as if not paid before.
But if the while I think on thee, dear friend,
All losses are restor’d and sorrows end.
--William Shakespeare

Good morning COL Mikel J. Burroughs - "We are always waiting for the weekend like we would wait on a best friend to visit us. The weekend is our chance to have some time for ourselves by leaving behind all obligations and responsibilities. The weekend is all about us and our desires." Have a great weekend RP.

Good morning, COL Mikel J. Burroughs. Your quote from Ronald Reagan knocks it out of the park for me. Jimmy Buffett had a similar thought in his song "Barefoot Children in the Rain"... "wrinkles only go where the smiles have been." Cheers.
