Thanks Maj Marty Hogan for letting us know that March 19 is the anniversary of the birth of American jurist and politician who served as the 30th Governor of California (1943–1953) Earl Warren who served as the 14th Chief Justice of the United States (1953–1969).
Most noteworthy to conspiracy theorists he was appointed to chair what became known as the Warren Commission, which was formed to investigate the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy. :-)
Rest in peace Earl Warren!

Earl Warren was not my favorite Chief Justice. He led the way for many precedent-setting decisions that I believe were detrimental to the Constitution. Still, he was no ideologue. He followed his conscience and I respected him. Interestingly, he was also a fan of the Baltimore Orioles and I often found him sitting alone in the upper deck at the old Memorial Stadium cheering them while munching on a hot dog and drinking a National Bohemian beer. There was nary a Secret Service body guard in sight in those days. The Orioles rarely had more than a couple thousand fans in attendance on even the best of days and individuals, especially Secret Service types would have been easy to spot.

Still remember the signs around the Charleston Naval Base, “Impeach Earl Warren,”
