I'm asking. How do you really feel about how this is being handled?
One of the Iraqis, Hameed Jhalid Darweesh, 53, was released by midday Saturday. “I suffered to move here, to get my family here …. I can’t go back,” Darweesh said shortly after his release, according to the New York Post. Asked if he’d be killed in Iraq, he answered: “Yes, yes.”

Sorry some of you feel as you do. But we cannot take any chances. I know many Muslims from Iraq and they are good people. But on the flip side it only takes one group. Just look at what has happened in Europe.

Capt Gregory Prickett - We are not discriminating based on Religion. No where in this does it say Muslims, Christians, or Atheist. It is all people from these countries. 4 of which were already on the list. Your argument about Police officers is assinine. I support allowing any individual who comes to this nation for opportunity to be allowed to live and prosperity here. That being said, you must have a means of vetting them. Too many have been displaced to track exactly where they came from. A knee-jerk reaction is when you take action based on fears, either real or imagined, due to an event or incident. We have had Muslim terrorist attacks inside our nation. Boston, San Bernardino, Ft Hood, etc. These attacks were committed by Muslim terrorists. Now President Trump is taking proactive measures also. Another issue, which is unknown to most, is groups like CAIR. While I was on an active duty tour, tell President and Vice President odell that organization were convicted of funneling weapons to Pakistan for use against India, a country we are not at war with. The two were convicted of terrorism. Call it what you will, but the actions taken by Trump are past due.

MAJ Joe Bentley - I use to think it was more than 10%. But, a few officers here believe it is closer to 1%. Then, one of those officers posted a think tank article and it read 5% are what you nice folks call radical.
It was brought to my attention using the term radical helps drive a wedge between those truly following Muhammad and those who are peaceful.
If the 95% not following Muhammad are afraid to speak out against those who what to murder in the name of Muhammad, how do we change that? To me, those who knew about the attack deported, fined and property confiscated. Others, less harsh measures. Those on Islamic terror watch lists deported. The word will get out. Names will be dropped.
That is how they fear us more than they fear their fellow Ummah travelers MAJ.

Cpl Mark A. Morris - I'd like to see this as an open forum for discussion. Rank here, in not important in discussions. Too me, the fact that those enemy combatants captured in Iraq and Afghanistan come from every country with Muslims, demonstrates a desire to destroy us and our way of life by a large portion of Muslims. We captured Chechens and some Uighurs from China were captured who came to Iraq to fight the great Satan. We both realize this is a bigger problem than most Americans understand or care to think about.
