I think this is one of those no win situations. Allow carry and someone innocent will get killed. Can you say lawsuit with huge settlement? We know what happens when you don't allow it. I can only hope the presence of guns in the classroom discourage those idiots looking for kids and teachers as a target. I have often thought they need guys like us to protect schools

SFC Casey O'Mally - with things as they are today, I don't believe they will remain immune when tested in court. Laws, originalism and stare decisis mean very little today. Laws can be changed and will be after a tragedy. Originalism is only important when it supports your perspective. Precedents are out the window now

SP5 Dennis Loberger this has nothing to do with stare decisis, originalism, or precedents.
I get it, you don't like our founding fathers and the nation they built.
But this SAME LAW that allows for arming teachers ALSO makes the schools immune to damages. So your "oh watch them get sued" is a scare tactic which is not based in reality.

You are right, you don't get it. I love my country, the second amendment and this greatest country on earth. What is happening today in our legal system puts everything up in the air.

How much training and how often, who pays for the “SOF - TEACHERS GROUP” to be Top Tier Operators so that they don’t freeze up like the cops did.

They have to be SOF - Operators that not only teach economics and math and science, and at a drop of a hat :
Locate the Threat location.
Secure the children and classroom.
Have direct comms with the ENTIRE FACILITY to avoid fracking one another.
Communication protocols setup with law enforcement agencies to again protect against “friendly fire”.
Which weapon systems are they gonna be trained on? Will it be universal nationwide … or like cops, each school and school districts will have their own guidelines?
Legit Questions.
Who’s paying for their training and liability insurance?
Are they also getting combat first aid training?
Hopefully we have no future school shootings.
If we were to be a better society …
