James Webb continues to shed new light on the early universe.
A team of scientists discovered the second and fourth-most distant galaxies ever observed thanks to the James Webb Space Telescope, a press statement reveals.
The astronomers, an international team led by Penn State researchers, discovered the two galaxies in a region of space known as Pandora's Cluster, or Abell 2744. They used spectroscopic data from the $10 billion observatory to detect the galaxies close to 33 billion light years away from Earth.
