Good morning, Rallypoint, and welcome to the March 10th Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD): "Globular Star Cluster 47 Tuc." The 'Tuc' refers to the southern constellation Tucan, one that most of us (with exception of those who get stationed in the South Pacific) don't get to see. In its October 2020 APOD appearance, 47 Tuc was seen at a distance. This image is more of a closeup. If you can see the Small Magellanic Cloud, you can likely see 47 Tuc. The cluster is about 13,000 light years from Earth, and is home to a star with the closest known orbit to a black hole.
