I won’t disagree with most of what you said. Unless you are Native American, you are an immigrant. That what made this country what it is, immigrants. I think those that hire undocumented workers should be penalized in such a manner that they will not be inclined to put profit before people. That said, those that wish to come here to work, or be educated or to be naturalized need to do it through a process. You cannot demand punishment for one group breaking the law while not demanding punishment for another.
If I asked you what you would do if you came home and found someone (you didn’t know or did know but was not given permission regardless) in your living room…. What would you do? You would want them removed at the least. That is what is happening at our southern border now…. The immigrants are stepping into our living room without permission and being allowed to stay. Politics aside, I have yet to hear someone explain to me why, if this is truly OK, that the lion share of those entering the US right now are not coming through authorized points of entry.
This is not a partisan issue. Team America needs to come together and fix this issue. Any immigration reform should deal with those that encourage illegal immigration but ALSO deal with those that enter our country illegally.
As a reminder, there were only 19 terrorists that caused one of the greatest tragedies in American history on September 11th….. How many got-aways have we had and how many of those have entered with nefarious intentions?

Ever since we had a border, there have been those that jumped it. That being said, since Bush Sr. It has had a dramatic uptick in number. Under Obama, it spiked higher- DaCa , Trump slowed it down, trird to put measures in to at keast slow ghe numbers down. Then Biden pretty much stopped those measures.
And we went back to Catch and Release. Which is continuing to increase dramatically the numbers of illegal crossings.
It it not the fault of the immigrant. It is the fault of our government. Many are the reasons why. The most obvious is cheap labor. The less obvious is amnestied voters. And the most obvious, disruption of all aspects of control and emergency services draining the coffers oof Towns and school systems/ hospitals inundated and not being paid, draining resources and such leaving towns , counties , States in an emergency situation for protecting the citizens and having budgets left void. It is not the fault of any immigrant. It's the fault of the politicians who refuse to deal with the situation or even care about them / or the citizens of this country's safety.
The politicians have done little to stop the flow. In nearly 35 years , not one thing has been done to stop the illegal immigration . Sure, laws have been passed to fine businesses that hire illegals, but that is after they are here.
Joes been in political office for over 50 years. He doesn't seem to think it's a problem. That " the border is closed" .

SGT Gerald “Jerry” Harrell i din't blame the immigrant. I blame the government for lack of protecting the border and keeping illegal immigration at a minimum. Instead, Dem and Republican alike see no real problem or urgency to truly reign in the problem, or even that there is a problem. For nearly 40 years they have done little to nothing to curb illegal entry into the US along the Southern border.
