Some of this could at least be a partial solution to water runoff and flooding which does have it's problems. There also are areas though that have been built on that already were in wetland or flood areas that should NOT have been built upon which was just asking for trouble.

I've seen this up close and personal. One of our armories had it. Very cool technology.

Awesome solution…I wonder about the application in our Sonoran Desert in Arizona. If sand can block the channels it won’t work. I am amazed at how much sand accumulates in my car floor mats just from parking lots that are asphalt. We need to retain our rain water….indeed, I give thanks to God every time He sprinkles water on our town….and pray for good snow-pack in the Northern Arizona/Colorado River basins,.
