I had no idea MAJ Dale E. Wilson, Ph.D.
Not much is known about his social life at the Army’s academy, so author Louis Bayard took it upon himself to fill in those biographical gaps and pen a fictional tale titled “The Pale Blue Eye” — a West Point murder mystery that essentially serves as a Poe origin story. That story now forms the basis of a movie set to debut in select theaters and on Netflix.

I always liked Poe's writings but he wasn't much of a soldier.
