It is interesting that you mention Borneo which is home to the orangutan which is both incredibly strong and big SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL. Edgar Allan Poe introduced the exotic Orangutan as the one responsible or murdering in the Murders in the Rue Morgue. The fact that the large ape was held responsible for murder as opposed to simply killing was a product of the time when apes were considered to be closely related to humans because the popularity of Charles Darwin and his Origin of the Species.
The attacks on Borneo almost certainly are carried out by orangutans. I would not be too surprised if during the 19th century somebody inadvertently of deliberately transported orangutans to the jungle highlands in Vietnam.

LTC Stephen F. what an informational response here, interesting and intriguing at the same time. I concur with your last statement, The attacks on Borneo almost certainly are carried out by orangutans. I would not be too surprised if during the 19th century somebody inadvertently of deliberately transported orangutans to the jungle highlands in Vietnam.
