Sgt (Join to see) - Thanks for the research and keeping us up to-date. I love space travel and I wish we would have done more after the first landing on the moon to set up a base there. So much waisted time!

COL Mikel J. Burroughs - I agree! China has landed on the far side of the moon, and lord knows what they are doing regarding a base... As I see it and as I mentioned, whichever Nation sets up a base with formidable weapons could hold the world hostage (so-to-speak)... The Moon could also be a base for missions to Mars as well... It is all kind of futuristic at this point, but is not beyond reality in the next fifty of so years...

COL Mikel J. Burroughs - I just looked up the timing of the next launch dates for the Moon mission and here is what I have found:
"NASA is working toward launching Artemis I in 2020, an uncrewed flight to test the SLS and Orion spacecraft together. Artemis II, the first SLS and Orion flight with crew, is targeted for launch in 2022. NASA will land astronauts on the Moon by 2024 on the Artemis III mission and about once a year thereafter." and this was as of July 25, 2019.
I am posting a new video on the Artemis I mission... Look for it in about 10 minutes!

Furthering the knowledge of space, medicine, biology, physics, human anatomy, and a whole host of science project which will benefit mankind in the future... It is also good to remember, that whichever nation secures a Moon Base and/or a Mars Base may, indeed control the Earth... That is what is on our horizon, Gene. You and I and those of us our age will not be around to see this, but it is happening as I type this...little by little... It is exciting and a bit daunting all at the same time!
