this editorial is written from the point of view that the reinstatement of the ban through Congress is a foregone conclusion. I think the left is mistaken in this assumption. The Dem Senators and Representatives from "Fly over" states are going to be thinking of their re-election campaigns. To date the ban hasn't been their fault, it was a result of the Chevron Precedent and agencies making rules they didn't really have the power to. For forty years they've been able to blame those agencies, that won't be the case anymore.

SCOTUS got it right. Both in that ATF exceeded their authority and in that this decisions belongs to Congress.

Yet again, progressives just can't take a Supreme Court decision loss. They've always got another angle to drive their rights infringement into.

Because that's always their bottom line. I have yet to hear them pulling background checks on people acquiring a bunch of tannerite, fertilizer, and/or styrofoam... Or anything else that could be used to make a crude yet effective bomb.
