Thanks for reminding us SP5 Mark Kuzinski that on March 11, 1967 the "Big Red "1st Infantry Division troops engaged in one of the heaviest battles of Operation Junction City.
Operation Junction City was an effort to smash the communist stronghold in Tay Ninh Province and surrounding areas along the Cambodian border northwest of Saigon.

SP5 Mark Kuzinski, Wikipedia (they’re never wrong!) declared Operation Junction City to be “the only major airborne operation of the Vietnam War.” I’m sure there were many clandestine HALO/HAHO jumps made, but I think Junction City was the only traditional airborne operation conducted during the Vietnam War.
