It would be better if folks accepted that God only created two genders and there is no way it will be changed.

No one is restricted healthcare...you get healthcare per the assigned gender at birth...what they are looking at is restricting gender transition healthcare.

MSG Stan Hutchison - Stan...that is the million dollar question. Maybe because it is elective and insurance companies don't want to pay for it or based on data there are a lot of complications or mental health issues associated with transition or any other idea. These are just my thoughts, no data to back it up.

Lt Col Scott Shuttleworth - I still do not understand why they want to "restricting gender transition healthcare."
Let people have the freedom to live the life they want, including appropriate health care.

MSG Stan Hutchison - Here is my thing...I don't care what you do as long as you pay for it either with your insurance or out of pocket. Whe the government starts paying for it with my tax dollars that is when I have a problem. The reason I have aproblem with that is they didn't pay for my elective knee surgery last year or my elective spinal fusion (called elective but not really, pain was too great). This is elective surgery...it is not a requirement to live it is a choice. That is where I stand on it. Private insurance or private dollars then go for it if it is what you want but don't expect the government/military to pay for it.

Lt Col Scott Shuttleworth This is my main sticking point. As a second concern there are more and more people that after a few years they want to transition back, I think too many people are not mature enough to really make such a life changing decision.
