Thank you, my friend SGT (Join to see) for making us aware that during the height of the depression, future Kentucky Colonel Harland Sanders had been running a service station in North Corbin, Kentucky where he also served fried chicken to hungry travelers. On March 20, 1930, he opened a restaurant across the street. It became so successful that in 1952 he devoted himself full time to the franchising his chicken business. The rest is history.
Rest in peace Harland Sanders.
