Can democracy survive the ‘defenders of democracy’?

This is a very "Political" opinion. I happen to be 100% in agreement with it. How can the left claim to be defending Democracy when their every move is an attempt to remove choices for the citizens. Socialism is not democracy, it's a cabal of an "enlightened" few at the top deciding how the proletariat will live their lives. You will no longer have Intellectual rights when everything belongs to the state. Your brilliant idea won't put money in your pocket, there will be no incentive for hard work. We will turn into a nation of drones, doing only the minimum required to get by.
