Republican presidential hopefuls not named Donald Trump quarreled amongst themselves Wednesday at the first GOP primary debate in Milwaukee.
Trump, the indicted former president and commanding frontrunner to win the party's nomination in 2024, was physically absent but loomed large over the field of second-tier candidates as they worked to persuade viewers that a different outcome was even possible.

Ramaswamy reminds me of Jo Jorgensen (the Libertarian Party candidate who had a lot to do with Trump's loss in 2020).
Ramaswamy is babbling nonsense that he thinks will resonate with "MAGA Republicans" but that he knows cannot be accomplished - abolishing several major federal agencies and policies that the GOP couldn't enact even after the 2016 Hat Trick gave them solid majorities in both the House and Senate. I largely tuned out Ramaswamy after his tweet suggesting 8 year "term limits" for federal civilian employees instead of for elected politicians.
At least I hope he knows that most of his campaign rhetoric is nonsense, because I'd hate to think we have anyone being taken even semi-seriously as a candidate who would be ignorant enough to believe what Ramaswamy keeps saying.
