I read an article about a homeless camp by a river. It was under a bridge. It was a cooperative sorta set up. Eventually the lack of sanitation and petty crime got out of hand. The camp was bulldozed and the residents were moved to a motel. Many refused to give up drugs. One non-married couple broke up, he had mental illness and returned to his home. She left the shelter to roam the streets because she couldn’t do drugs in the comfort of the motel. Drugs and mental illness are the big drivers of homelessness.

Maj Kim Patterson Great share. This problem of homeless camps is only going to get worse as a pending recession looms on the horizon.
