Yes Multiple Times, Ft Irwin/Mojave Desert Is No Joke ! It’s The Closest Thing To Hell On Earth !
Hot During The Day , Cold At Night , Sand Storms, Animals That Want To Sting You Or Bite You . Did I Mention It’s In The Middle Of Nowhere.
Went There For A Rotation When In The Guard And When I Went Back Active Duty I Requested Ft Irwin As My First Duty Station, The Recruiter Thought I Was Crazy.
I Learned A lot About Desert Warfare, But Mostly About Myself That I Could Handle Severe Heat And Hard work .
Changing A Flat Tire On A HET When It’s 120 Degrees During A Sandstorm And Being Awake For 14 Hours, Eating Only MREs ! Yea You Will Collapse It’s Only A Matter Of When Not If .
