.22 Hornet is cute. At a buck 30 a round it's not economical. With my total dislike of the .223, I wouldn't want either.

This may be a 'have to add' addition to my collection. It fits a nice little niche gap.

I can use long rifle 22's in my competition setup. I'll have to give it a try. I'm down to one square inch at 50 to 75 yards handheld. I can do 100 yards but need a mechanical grip device.

I think it depends a lot on where you live and what you're watching out for that makes 223 a pleasure to have around.
