Two things. First, where were the other 30 representatives for this vote? Second, why wasn't this the standard since RFK?

I don't know if I would trust them to be mall cops or school resource officers.

Either the entire protection structure within the Secret Service is totally incompetent or someone made a deliberate decision to assign incompetent agents to Trump.
I have a very hard time believing that the ENTIRE operation has become so totally incompetent in just the last 3½ years. Admittedly the current administration has done everything possible to destroy the leadership of every executive branch agency with their political appointments, DEI hires, and policies, but most of the rank & file Secret Service agents have been in the service for much longer than that.
I suppose it is possible that morale and professionalism have gotten so low that even the agents who know how to do their jobs don't care any more. I'd like to think not, but I have seen very close to that happen in some military units under bad leadership.
