I'm one of those who didn't get it. But I can honestly say the initial treatment before I was air evac'd and after was the best I have ever experienced. But 7 years later the repairs began to fail. At the VA here I was told the Army's work never failed along with the disclaimer I could file an appeal. There wasn't time so I went with civilian doctors and have remained so ever since. All the money the VA has saved not treating me should be going exclusively for Veterans and not noncitizens.
