I think this is one of those no win situations. Allow carry and someone innocent will get killed. Can you say lawsuit with huge settlement? We know what happens when you don't allow it. I can only hope the presence of guns in the classroom discourage those idiots looking for kids and teachers as a target. I have often thought they need guys like us to protect schools

If you read the bill, schools are immune from damages. That is a non-issue.

SFC Casey O'Mally - with things as they are today, I don't believe they will remain immune when tested in court. Laws, originalism and stare decisis mean very little today. Laws can be changed and will be after a tragedy. Originalism is only important when it supports your perspective. Precedents are out the window now

SP5 Dennis Loberger this has nothing to do with stare decisis, originalism, or precedents.

I get it, you don't like our founding fathers and the nation they built.

But this SAME LAW that allows for arming teachers ALSO makes the schools immune to damages. So your "oh watch them get sued" is a scare tactic which is not based in reality.

You are right, you don't get it. I love my country, the second amendment and this greatest country on earth. What is happening today in our legal system puts everything up in the air.
