Gun control has never been about crime reduction. It's always been about preventing citizens from exercising their Constitutional Rights. The 'Spirit of Aloha' does not Trump the 2nd Amendment.
Kamehamehameha didn't have Aloha in his heart when he banned weapons. He did it to prevent uprisings challenging his rule.
