SSG(P) (Join to see) He needs to stand trial and get busted down to a second Lt and a Dishonorable Discharge.

Screw busted to 2LT, dishonorably discharged and thrown in jail. If convicted of SA or SH, you shouldn't get to keep any military rank.

My guess is that he will be able to retire with a less than honorable as a colonel or Lt colonel which means millions in net worth over the years and probably be put on the sex offenders registry. If he goes to trial it will be worse. Either way he will not keep his stars...if he does it will be an extreme injustice. As a commander if I offered you an Art 15 I had enough to go to trial...in this case they skipped the Art 15 proceedings and went straight to a trial which means they have him dead to rights. I hope they deny his requests and he is tried by a jury of his peers which would be a panel of two stars or higher...they will not be gentle in todays world/environment.

Lt Col Scott Shuttleworth My issue is sir that an enlisted SM would be dishonorably discharged and thrown in jail. I have seen it multiple times in recent years where high ranking individuals get to retire at a lesser grade, which is still bullshit because they would still get almost 7-10k per month in retirement. Any person who commits SA or SH should be dishonorably discharged and depending on severity, thrown in jail. It's the only way the military will see SHARP cases decrease IMHO.

Agreed but I have seen in recent years numerous E-9's in command chief positions get busted down two with a less than honorable without jail time...younger ranks not so lucky. BUT I do agree with you...jail time would send a strong message!!!

He deserves to sit in a court room and be tried by court martial. No 'in lieu of' anything. He disgraced his position and deserves every punishment he is eligible for.

Anything less than landing on the sex offenders registry is a dereliction of duty on the part of the AF personnel allowing it, and a grave miscarriage of justice.
