I suppose the bolt action is more reliable but hardly enough to be significant. I suppose the semi-automatic repeats faster but how fast does a weapon have to repeat. I suppose that modern weapons appeal to modern aesthetics but I prefer the classic look of the lever action. Well, that an the pump. Something about the pump action is appealing too

I own four. A Marlin 1894 in 44 mag (original Marlin Co), a Henry Big Boy in .357 Mag, a Winchester 1892-22 (original Winchester Company) and a Henry Classic in 22 caliber. I have also owned
two Rossi lever actions in .357 magnum, a 20" and a 16" barrel that I have since traded.
Rick, considering that lever actions have been manufactured by at least two companies continually in this country for 160+years, it's not surprising that if would be a common firearm in a pawn shop.
